Enter Shikari forced to cancel Blackpool gig

Enter Shikari were forced to cancel their show at Blackpool’s Empress Ballroom on Saturday (February 6) after part of the ceiling collapsed during the band’s pre-gig soundcheck.

The band posted a statement on their FaceBook page apologising for the situation which was "completely beyond [their] control." They also took time to sign autographs and meet fans who’d been queuing at the venue since the early hours.

The gig will be rescheduled shortly. Stay tuned for more information.

Ahhh,

Enter shikari where great about the whole situation!
They did M+G to ALL their fans who attended.
I just cant wait untill they announce they rescheduled gig and really hope its not the 12th (you me at six)

It won't be the 12th, they're playing Hammersmith Apollo in London that night

i think it will be sometime in march like 13th or something can not c them come back up north before then cos they at soundwave festival in austrler on 20th so would have to go back to london to get there

i feel sorry for the lads

we travelled all the way from Wolverhampton to see them, it cost us like 100 quid each so we was really upset but seriously they all looked distraught at the fact that they couldn't play, apparently rou was crying :)

hopefully they reschedual for a date i can go to :)

i wouldnt blame him if he was crying, we were one of the last ones to meet him, and he said he was just trying to keep a brave face on for everyone but he thought that they'd dissapointed everyone.
but good on them for staying an meeting everyone, we had a fantastic night, gig or no gig. i just hope they reschedule for a date i can go to :S

i was gutted i had a really crap night because i was with 3 people and they were like we are not standing in the line to m&g for hours :(:(

its a pity your friends wouldnt stay, me and my mate waited three and a half hours and it was worth every second, theyre really friendly and made our night worthwhile

well even if they couldn't play the show, at least they met with the fans & are making an effort to reschedual that's really good they obviously care about their fans, which unfortuneately i can't say about every band out there today.

Es gig

I was gutted the gig got canceled guys but overall it was a great night; met some new people; met the band and yeah :') All I can say is...
Bring on the re-gig!? :D
