In the latest issue of Kerrang! magazine (out today) You Me At Six give us an exclusive preview of their upcoming second album, Hold Me Down, a record, which singer Josh Franceschi, hopes will help them lose their pop-punk “stigma”.
“We want people to realise that we’re not the Fall Out Boy wannabes that some made us out to be in the beginning,” he told Kerrang!. “It became a bit of a stigma and I think people wrote us off because of a few songs on our debut [2008’s Take Off Your Colours]. While we don’t want to isolate and neglect the fans we’ve made, we purposefully set out to avoid writing the album people expected us to make. This album will change people’s opinion of us!”

If you can’t wait to hear the record, next Wednesday (November 25) the band will be giving away a free download of new track The Consequence via their official website, www.youmeatsix.co.uk.
