Rammstein album banned in Germany

Rammstein have run into trouble with the German authorities after it was claimed their new album, Liebe Ist Fuer Alle Da, contains lyrics of a sado-masochistic nature.

The album has been withdrawn from public sale after officials took issue with the track Ich Tue Dir Weh (I Want To Hurt You), which includes the lyric,'Bites, kicks, heavy blows, nails, pincers, blunt saws, tell me what you want'.

Rammstein will tour the UK in February. Click here for dates.

Pfft as if that's going to stop young Rammstein fans from getting it?...
Then again I guess they can actually understand the lyrics on first listen xD

Assuming they don't just torrent it, the joys of an open common market means that anyone in Germany can just get online and pick it up from France, Holland, Belgium, the UK, Spain, Italy... And buying it mail order will be cheaper than getting it from a shop anyway.

banned?

Hey, so I'm from Germany and I didn't know that they banned the new Rammstein album as I bought it right after it was released on October 16, was it banned afterwards? This is crazy, they ban Rammstein but leave bands like Tokio Hotel etc. release every single song? That's not fair!

Kerrang suck!

The artwork has been banned. The album can still be bought over the counter in Germany. Expect new artwork any day now...assuming Rammstein want to make any money.

Please Kerrang, if you're going to have a news section
a) write things that are interesting (who cares when Marilyn Manson does something "wacky")
b) get it right
2 simple concepts

Bull****

That's just silly. What about Cannibal Corpse album with their lyrics? (No offense to CC fans, I like them to!)

I think that Ich Tu Dir Weh is an awesome song with great lyrics on it. I hate when people/media is messing with our music. F*ck it, as long as I got their album, I'm happy! :)

Stay metal, folks!

Now, this is just stupid. The German government has NO right to ban CDs just because they don't like the content. I'm not a fan of this band; I've never even heard of Rammstein, but reading this article makes me want to go out and listen to the songs. :P

this gives them even more popularity, so I guess they're really pissed (not)

tokio hotel's vocalist looks like a transsexual woman sado-maso himself he was the one who should be banned
