Slash adds stars to solo outing

Former Guns N’ Roses / current Velvet revolver guitarist Slash is busy working on his new solo album, Slash And friends, which will be released in early 2010.

The guitar legend has been busy collaborating with everyone from Foo Fighters mainamn Dave Grohl to Led Zeppelin drummer Jason Bonham and Stooges frontman Iggy Pop to Red Hot Chili peppers bassist Flea.

Other artists to feature on the album include Wolfmother frontman Andrew Stockdale, former Queens Of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine as well as his Velvet Revolver bandmate, bassist Duff McKagan.

You forgot to mention the fact that M.Shadows has already recorded a track for Slash's album.

I have to disagree with you here. M Shadows is alright and I can understand that you are excited to hear his input if you are a big A7X fan. However, I think that its wrong to dismiss half the acts on Slash's album as being crap. Just because some of them aren't in the 'hip' bands that are about of late doesn't make them crap. And just for the record Adam Levine has a quality voice even if his band do make music that I consider to be quite weak in most cases, and Fergie is brilliant. Check out her doing Sweet Child o Mine on youtube with the man himself.
