Guns N’ Roses dispute plagiarism lawsuit

Guns N' Roses have vehemently denied they have sampled or plagiarised tracks by German musician Ulrich Schnauss on their Chinese Democracy album.

"Guns N' Roses vigorously contests these claims and intends to respond accordingly," said the band’s manager Irving Azoff in an official statement. "The band believed when the record came out and still believes that there are no unauthorised samples on the track."

As previously reported, Schnauss's record companies are suing he band and the record's producers for $1 million (approximately £630,000) for allegedly plagiarising Ulrich Schnauss' songs, Wherever You Are and A Strangely Isolated Place, on the track Riad N' The Bedouins.
