Are Paramore still Top Of The Rocks?

Paramore topped the British album charts last week when their third album, Brand New Eyes, debuted at Number One.

But did they manage to pull it off for a second week?

The answer, sadly, is no.

Brand New Eyes has slipped into third place, behind Barbra Streisand’s Love Is The Answer and Madonna’s 34-track Greatest Hits collection, Celebration, at Number One and Number Two respectively.

Other rock movers and shakers include Muse, who slipped two places to Number Seven with their latest album, The Resistance and New York glam rockers Kiss, who debuted at 24 with Sonic Boom.

Grunge godfathers Alice In Chains (who debuted at 19 with Black Gives Way To Blue last week) and Pearl Jam (who were at 27 after two weeks on the chart with their new album, Backspacer) have both slipped out of the Top 40.

1. I liked Twilight BEFORE the movie
2. I'm 14 and DON'T do that, it annoys me when other people do
3. My 23 yr old cousin LOVES them
and 4. I actually know what grammar is.
Just because a small group (okay, maybe that's pushing it- I admit, a lot of kids do do that) talk, type and can't shut up about "OMMMMMMGEEE Edward Cullen" DOESN'T mean everyone does it. When you were 14, would you have liked someone always putting yourself and your peers down, dismissing them as crazed, illiterate psychos?
No. Didn't think so. I'm really proud of Paramore, I didn't think they'd be able to pull off an album as great as RIOT! but they well and truly succeeded with brand new eyes.

loads of my friends do that annoying typing (and yes, we're all 14) and it really bugs me, or they hold on to the last letter of a word like thissss, and I don't like that either. But that clearly does not mean everyone does that.
and Edward Cullen is not hot. He's kind of creepy.

Yay! Paramore are my favourite band ever (I liked them before they started getting all fanous)! I am so delighted they were No.1! I got their album the day it came out and it's amazing! How could anyone beat them to No.1 this week? Impossible!
