MCR apologise for lack of studio updates

My Chemical Romance are currently holed up with producer Brendan O'Brien (AC/DC, Killswitch Engage, Pearl Jam) working on the follow-up to their 2006 breakthrough album, The Black Parade.

In a blog post on www.mychemicalromance.com, guitarist Ray Toro apologised to fans for the lack of updates on the as-yet-untitled album’s progress.

“Sorry for the lack of updates, but it actually is a good thing,” he says. “We've been crazy busy. I think we are almost finished with the greatest song we've ever written.”

“Its coming along incredibly (is that even a word?) and I think it will be the standard for every other track on the record,” he added. “In a way, this is really helpful, because now we can make each song the best it can be, in a sense taking each song as its own entity and reaching for the stars with each track. You guys are in for a treat.”

'Incredibly' is a word Ray. It's a worry that you are unsure about it though. Did you attend school?

Excitement.

I am so unbelievably excited about this. By the sounds of it the hiatus taken was only a positive thing.

I cant wait for them to tour again, i tihnk the stage show can only get better from the Black Parade and the Black Parade is Dead tours, and they were pretty spectacular!

Music Fans

I don't get why people get into big arguments over My Chemical Romance, I'm nineteen and have grown up with this band. From their first album, to the hype of the second and the suddenly everyone deciding they hated them because they were popular. I think it shows how fickle some people really are when it comes to music and so called fans really are far from it. Some of my own friends now state how much they hate this band now when a few years ago they were the biggest thing in the world to them. Really annoys me, and with regards to people online just saying shit to get a reaction you need to grow up. Just as much as some people like MCR need to calm down and not get over defensive because it doesn't help anything at all. Especially the ones like 'MCR RULE!!!' which is second from last comment on this page. Anyway I am looking forward to their new album and am hoping for a sound similar to three cheers.

All you little emo kids saying you 'grew up' listening to MCR. They haven't been around long enough for anyone to 'grow up' listening to them. I grew up listening to Iron Maiden, Metallica, ACDC and Black Sabbath because those were the bands my Dad listened to, and they were around long before i was. I didn't discover them on day when i was 11 because a friend liked them.

well you are wrong. they are better because they dont make fun of people. they dont make people feel bad about themselves. but yet you feel that you can? i dont get how.

i dont go around making fun of bands i dont like or make fun of the people who listen to them. i dont do this because i repsect everyones music choice, whether if i like the band or not.

My Chemical Romance is a very inspirational band. their music and lyrics helps those who feel like they dont fit in, the people who get made fun of, people who are judged, people who want to give up on life because of what jerks have done to them. theyre music teaches us to be ourselves and be happy with that. that life is worth living and that we all should just get along.

yet people feel like they have to ruin someones self esteem so they can be cool. just because someone wears different clothing or looks different they feel like they can make fun of them.

well you know what, its better being yourself then being a clone and look like everyone else.

so if you dont like MCR, im not going to freak, but have some respect for those who do because for alot of us, its MCR that are keeping us from breaking down.

be nice towards others and treat them how you would like to be treated. because karma will always be there.

so thank Ray, all us MCR fans really appreciate you letting us know about the album updates. and we are all excited for the new album and hope that everyone from MCR is doing well and having fun :)

Honestly, i dont see why they wuld need to apologize. They have alot on their hands rite now. They have to take take of personal stuff, and work in the studio, itll take a while to update about the studio.
Well, atleast their upcoming album is getting closer! :) I can't wait! I think Ray actually knew that "incredibly" was a word. He wanted to make us laugh probably, if he didn't, well incredibly is! Lol. They like having a good time and have some laughs with fans :P Again, I cant wait!!
