Former Korn drummer "never wants to play again"


Korn guitarist Munky has revealed that former drummer David Silveria has decided to never perform again. Silveria went on “indefinite hiatus” in 2006.

“When I found out David had sold all his drums and never wants to play again - I was blown away,” Munky told the zine Big Music Geek. “He’s one of the best drummers in the world. I can’t believe he’s not coming back. I’m still in disbelief. It’s painful.”

For fuckin' ever.

Since I was two months old KoRn have been my favorite band. I'm hard to get to cry, but I feel it as a damn hard brassknucle punch when I read this, although I've known it for about a half year or more. For me, KoRn will always be KoRn. Now with this new drummer, it's KoRn and Ray Luzier, not just KoRn. Cause that spot will forever stay open for David, as well as for Head. No one can ever take over their place. Neither in the band, nor in my heart.

The Matrix Co - Wrote "See You On The Other Side" and a part of the Untitled album, (Atticus Ross Wrote the Rest of it) I was a BIG fan of KoRn's until the Nu Metal revival so I know what i'm yappin' on about!!

Finally, someone agrees that Ray is awesome... I saw them for the first time at Sonisphere in Holland and he amazed me!! Absolutely fabulous drummer. Its not as bad as if Fieldy or Munky stopped. I'm still hoping Head will come back at some point though...

Right first off korn isn't breaking up they have been writing a new album produced by Ross Robinson out next year

Jonathan, James and Reggie are more solid than ever they are in the position where they own the rights to their own music

david left in 2007 the dude got divorced he now has major money problems and has lost his tuna town restaurant but still has his steak house.

Ray Luzier drummed in army of anyone and is a very sought after session musician and I play drums David aint that good he is more precise than flashy and technical.

True it won't be the "real" korn but there are other bands which only have say one original member which still sound great Machine Head, Marilyn Manson, Dillinger Escape Plan, Cannibal Corpse and Nile losing a couple of members doesn't mean a band is dead.

Belive me when I say korn will be back big time their stripping back their sound working with the original producer and working as a four piece. And recording on tape rather than digital to bring the rawness back
