Dirty Little Rabbits cancel UK shows

Dirty Little Rabbits have been forced to cancel their appearances this week at The Kerrang! Awards Week Of Rock on Friday July 31 where they were due to open for Lacuna Coil and this weekend's Sonishphere festival.

"Nothing is worse than cancelling shows and we hate to do it," Shawn Crahan told Kerrang! Dot Com. "But after weeks of going all over the world and playing some of the biggest shows of my career, and now being in the home stretch on completing the Dirty Little Rabbits debut album, I'm just mentally and physically drained.

"When you finally you hear it, you will all understand," he added. "First impressions are so important. If I don't feel we're giving everyone 100%, then it's not our art. I promise you that the Rabbits will be there one day and it will be worth the wait."

Maybe he realised that he'd over-hyped his shitty little band when he said that they were going to make "history" and shat out.

I understand the music industry is a hard done by job but still a commitment is a commitment and tiredness is something we all have to live with but i shall miss them at the concert tomorrow...

Leave him alone! You call yourself fans yet you jump down his throat the second he says "I need to take a break"

He made an album last year with Slipknot, toured like crazy, was obviously writing and practicing with this band and made an album! Yet you lot still think that just because he's a musician he needs to push himself to his physical and psychological limits to come entertain you? I'd like to see any of you do what he does and have any energy left.

you moaners out there dont obviously know the diffrence from being in a band and being in slipknot those guys push themselves to the limits evreytime they play or record or do anything
they have nearly killed themselves so many times on stage and that takes alot of energy they ware themselves out. so if you where a true fan you would apriciate that fact.

I completely fucking agree with the majority here. Shawn is not only in his own band who are starting to get well known, he's in slipknot, one of the best metal bands around right now. So for people to say he's lazy REALLY gets on my tits. After all Slipknot have done for us, you're gonna bitch at DLR because they're knackered? You have no idea how tough writing music and touring can be. ESPECIALLY for a band like slipknot who have been around for over 10 fucking years!!!!! Give the poor guy a break. At least he was up front about it and didn't make some dumb-shit lie.
