The Fallen forced to change name

They've only been together a week but The Fallen - the new project of ex-Evanescence guitarists Ben Moody and John LeCompt, drummer Rocky Gray and former American Idol contestant Carly Smithson - have been forced to change their name after being issued with a cease and desist order from a Philadelphia-based band also called The Fallen.

"We are truly sorry for the confusion that stemmed last week from an unexpected announcement from The Fallen," said the Philadelphia-based band in an official statement. "The band will continue to bring their music to the fans and perform as The Fallen."

Meanwhile Ben Moody's mob have now renamed themselves We Are The Fallen.

Meh, you can't judge a book by it's cover as they say.

I'll wait till I can hear some tune-age before I decide who's better.

Least Evanescence (or AMy Lee and friends depending on yoru veiw of them) are still together and writing new stuff.

Christ, the opening verse sounds pretty damn similar to Amy Lee. The singer's trying too hard. It's not bad though.

Well... after a first listen, it sounds IDENTICAL to Evanescence, so they're obviously not going to be shaking off those comparisons any time soon. Clearly just another "cashing in" opportunity on the female fronted gothic rock scene.
And the other "The Fallen" band sound a lot better anyhow :/

I'm usually up for music like this, and anthough I dislike Evanescence I tried to listen to this band: They're boring, and their band name is embarasing.

Kinda like how Hey Monday is a knock off of Paramore

Evanescence is kick ass
