Shawn Crahan: "Don't miss being part of history!"

Slipknot mainman Shawn 'The Clown' Crahan will be making his UK debut with his other band Dirty Little Rabbits at the Kerrang! Week Of Rock on July 31 with Lacuna Coil.

Speaking to Kerrang! Dot Com earlier today, The Clown is urging all you Maggots "not to miss being a part of history!"

"I've waited my whole life for this band and the fact that we get to play the UK is a dream come true," said Crahan. "These shows will set the record straight and for all those who will miss them, you will miss being a part of history!

"The future has been foreseen," he added. "So get ready to jump down the Rabbit Hole!"

People need to stop comparing the two bands. Yeah, they're really 'pop' sounding and are absolutely nothing like Slipknot, but guess what? That's the point of Dirty Little Rabbits! They're not directly aimed at Slipknot's fanbase!

I agree with Andrew, they are two very different bands.... that's the idea. Why would he want another band? To play different music. If you don't like... who cares, you can't deny that it's good music. Their songs are really well written and some are actually quite catchy... obviously this isn't gonna appeal to some Slipknot fans, but that's the point of this band... so he can do some different to Slipknot.

Just a quick message for all you non believers out there Slipknot rule there is no disputing that and if clown wants a sideline with Dirty Little Rabbits and takes them down a different route we should support him instead of garbageing him in the early days you bunch of mongrels

Come on man, they aint even near pop. Its a thrashy soundin effort and the singer's somewhere between Tori Amos and Juliette Lewis. NOT to peoples liking usually.. but so whit, Shawns playin the drums. I'll be there at Sonisphere ready for the DLRs, then Corey doing SOLO stuff, then NIN playing their last gig ever, then Metallica headlining for 2 hours?! ROCK the F*CK ON! :D
