Paramore "We're not a vampire house band"

Paramore have ruled out appearing on the soundtrack to the sequel to the 2008 film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's hugely successful Twilight novel.

Speaking to US magazine Billboard, drummer Zac Farro said the Tennessee rockers won't be involved with the franchise's second flick, New Moon, which will hit cinemas in November.

"We don't want to be, like, the vampire house band," laughed Farro. "It was really fun to be a part of that, and great exposure, but I think Twilight was it for us. We don't want to seem like we're trying to get in every single movie they put out."

Speaking to Kerrang! last year, Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams joked that the band would be appearing in New moon as extras at Forks high school.

i'm glad they won't be in the film new moon i'd rather not see their faces! paramore are so annoying and overrated their music is ok but there are legend bands that rock better than them like green day, kiss, thin lizzy etc they are proper bands! paramore are so stuck up and rude i asked them for their autograph and they said ain't got time and walked off where as fall out boy actually done autographs and had pictures me and my friends even had lunch with them, i don't mind paramores music but it kinda sucks to some wicked bands but i actually HATE paramore as the people!

Who cares? If they where busy... they were busy. Thney can't stop whatever they were doing just to sign an autograph. They have other things to do. It's a shame that they won't be on the New Moon soundtrack. I loved what they did on Twilight. I think I Caught Myself is one of my fave paramore songs and one of the best on the Twilight soundtrack.

LOL. I couldn't possibly sum it up any better than that!

Twilight can go fuck itself. And if Paramore didn't want to be seen as some sort of advocate for the series, then she shouldn't have publicly professed her love for it, nor should she have contributed to the soundtrack. End.

Maybe people listen to those bands because they genuinally like them? You can't force someone to listen to something, we like what we like.
I like FOB, so does that make me annoying? No, it makes me a music fan who likes something that just so happens to be popular amongst teenagers.
The number of fans doesn't make the music less meaningful to me, or anyone else. It shouldn't do anyway.

because maybe they enjoy the music they are listening to? If its them playing it and they are enjoying it, then quit moaning.

As for paramore featuring on the next movie soundtrack, thats okay, they are gonna have their new album out anyways :)

It really is time that Kerrang stopped featuring American rubbish like Paramore. Far too many British and European bands have fell by the wayside because you insist on giving more publicity to Z list US garbage.

I like some American bands but Kerrang fails big time when you promote rubbish like Paramore, Madina Lake and 30 Seconds To Mars.

British bands like The King Blues and Skindred should be massive, and Therapy? should now be doing arena tours.

Sort it out Kerrang!

well im a big fan of paramore has been 4 a while now, but i do agree wiv paramore not doin new moon they shud b focusin on their music as i fink they r pretty awesome and o no sum ppl dnt lyk them which is fine but i fink tht they rock harder wivout twilight (eventho Decode does rock lol) x
