MCR get ready to hit the studio

My Chemical Romance will hit the studio in the next few weeks to start recording the follow0up to their 2006 album, The Black Parade according to a post on their official website.

''In the next few weeks, My Chemical Romance will head into the studio to record their fourth full-length album with producer Brendan O'Brien," reads the post. "He has previously worked with AC/DC, Mastodon, Bruce Springsteen, and Pearl Jam, among others. He's good.''

The as-yet-untitled album will be released later this year / early 2010 through Warner Bros.

I'm really pleased to hear this, looking forward to MCR's next album, it's going to be an interesting one!

Also I don't mean to be finickity if that's how you spell it, but I know Gerard has done a lot of things on his own like making comics and babies but this post regards MCR as in the group of members that make music together! So can't the picture be of all of them instead of just Gerard!?

MCR Album

Glad to hear it!! it's about time they did somehing that was not a cover! I understand that bands need a break from time to time but it doesnt make waiting for new stuff any easier!

I have heard (mcr website/intrview) it will be going back to the style before Black Parade, which would be the best thing to do in my opinion, whilst Black Parade was good, Three Cheers was better! Plus it would prove the cynics wrong-which is always nice too see!

Its always good to see a band back from breaks-sometimes the don't come back...dont take too long!!

Btw, there are some really weird-ass rumors around atm...dont believe everything you hear

I'm not a huge fan of MCR, but I'll buy the album, they can write good strong songs when they set their minds to it. I'm interested to see which direction the music'll take after TBP.

It's the one who dye their hair a ridiculously fluorescent color that i dislike the most. I dont think they realise that that super bright hair doesnt take all the attention away from their MCR tshirts, their black skinnies, their fat tummys, and their ugly faces.

I have to say I laughed when I read that comment. I wouldn't go so far as to generalise the audiance, but I remember seeing a bunch of emo's telling me how "original" (despite the fact I just dress how I wish...trying to be unique is so cliche) I was despite the fact they were all stood in skinny jeans, MCR tops, Black parade jackets and with the same friggen haircut.

apparently it's going to be much more like bullets and revenge not the parade. i think parade was amazing but i love revenge the most, they miss being a rock band they said, and albuym is not going to be a conceptive one, so i think we should expect somehting great from them. i doubt they'll dissapoint me x)

This is something we have clearly forgot about- the music. Now its all about if they are attractive or not. MCR did get very popular in 2006, but at the end of the day, who cares if you liked them in 2001 when they formed, or only started liking them yesterday? If you like the band for the music they bring, why not?

Fingers crossed MCR will bring a great new album, which im sure they will. I would like for it to be alot more raw, more like bullets. :] I'm sure they wont disappoint.

I completely agree. Not all My Chem fans are shrieking, "teeny", wild-hair coloured people. I for one aren't. I'm just a skinny, slightly nerdy, mousy haired person. But then again I won't judge people if they want peroxide hair or whatever. It's their choice.
