Justin Hawkins joins Steel Panther!

Former The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins joined Steel Panther on stage last night at London's Club 229.

Hawkins - who now fronts Hot Leg - helped perform the LA heavy metal legends' hit, Party All Day (Fuck All Night), which he contributed vocals to on the band's debut album, Feel The Steel.

Frontman Michael Starr told the sold-out crowd:

"[Justin] was in LA when we were in Vegas and he went into the studio and cut this track for us, except it was so bad we had to get some other guy who sounds a bit like him to redo it. But you guys won't be able to tell the difference."

Following Party All Day... Hawkins took lead vocals for a cover of The Darkness' 2003 single, I Believe In A Thing Called Love.

In their main set Steel Panther also performed Death To All But Metal, Asian Hooker, Community Property and Eyes Of A Panther before treating the assembled throng to an encore of Motley Crue's Kickstart My Heart and Van Halen's Panama.

I really don't care for these guys. After they made that comment about Def Leppard, I kind of tuned out of any talent they may possess.

Umm...

...didn't Spinal Tap do this, like 20 years ago? Aren't they still doing this now?

Oh wait, no. They didn't do this - Spinal Tap were/are funny.

steel panther rocks

i thought the americans were the ones that lacked a sense of humour well i was wrong we do lol.

Who cares about who Steel Panther are and their ambitions at least they have brought out a record that makes up for all the doom laden political filth belched out by a ginger nut in gallows.

At the end of the day its about having a laugh and a good time!

learn to laugh children

I can't believe so many of you children take yourselves to seriously. Kerrang was 'our' magazine well before you/Paramore/Gallows/whoever were born. The magazine always used to be fun. Readers knew how to laugh at themselves, but jees, what is it with you lot that sit there so po faced thinking you invented music? We gave you Kerrang! And you miserable sods are trashing its heritage. If it hadn't been for those of us that get the Steel Panther joke buying the magazine in the 80s you wouldn't have a magazine or website to be so bloody serious in. So get a grip, show some respect and all hail the mighty STEEL PANTHER.
