Every Time I Die team-up with Fall Out Boy

Every Time I Die are busy completing work on the follow-up to 2007's The Big Dirty. The record, entitled New Junk Aesthetic, will be released in the UK on September 14 through Epitaph.

In a similar move to getting My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way to sing guest vocals on 2005's Gutter Phenomenon,
the band have enlisted the help of Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz for their new record.

"Just laid down some vox on [the new Every Time I Die] record;" wrote Wentz on his Twitter account. "Hopefully I didn't ruin it. Sorry if I did dudes (dudes in the band not internet dudes that hate me)."

Gerard's vocals on 'Kill The Music' aren't actually that bad, they fit very well with the songs.

However, based on how 'The Big Dirty' sounded, this is just going to be horrible. I can't stand Pete Wentz's vocals at all!

That said, no reason to hate Every Time I Die. They still kick more ass than 99% of bands that get featured on this site.

I'm waiting to hear the song before saying whether or not I like it, obviously. I can't fault anything 'till I know it.

I'm not a huge fan of Pete's vocals, but, if it's "screaming" on this song, then I think it potentially could sound all right. Just depends on the mood of the whole song I guess.

Anyways, it's always good to see musicians of two different genres working together. Good on them =)

i don't really think it'll ruin the WHOLE song, it's only one bit. As long as it's not really obvious it'll be fine.

Like Dallas on INRIhab, didn't realise at all until i read it.

As far as "selling out makes you fags." Does it? Does it really? Or are you just saying that because you don't like Fall Out Boy? Gosh... homophobe...

Give It Up Already

Since Pete screams rather than sings, I really don't see the issue people have other than it being Fall Out Boy.
Surely it's not going to make much of a difference whether it's Pete or some random off the street?
This is about Every Time I Die so quit slagging off Fall Out Boy. It's getting old now, people like them and hating just makes you look like a little brat throwing your toys out the pram. They're here to stay so please give it up already you won't change anything!

I agree completely. If it was any other musician, there'd be next to no comments on this, but people jump at the chance to have a go at FOB.
I commented because I'm a fan of both bands, but some people...just eurgh. They need to get a life.

This is about the new Every Time I Die album - the story would have been here regardless of who the guest vocalist was, it just happens to be Pete Wentz in this case... (fuck knows WHY anyone would want him on their album, but that's a different matter entirely and for a different forum.)

the only reason this has turned into a discusion abouty fall out boy and pete wentz is because some people out there cant help themselves. they moan when they see that something is to do with pete! why?? just dont look at it if you dont like him instead of postin these stupid commens about how much u have him and all that stuff. personally i love pete and fall out boy but if you dont then just keep away from the posts with stuff about them in it!!
