The Gaslight Anthem were joined onstage at Glastonbury yesterday (June 27) by a surprise guest.
Bruce Springsteen joined the New Jersey rockers for their set in the John Peel tent reports K!'s sister site Q Magazine. Ahead of his much-heralded headline set on the Pyramid Stage, he leant guest vocals and guitar to The '59 Sound, the title track from the band's second album.
Frontman Brian Fallon introduced Springsteen - "Can you hear that sound? I'm feeling waves from home." - before the 59-year-old strode onstage with guitar in hand, clad in a leather jacket and shades. As the crowd chanted the rocker's name, the band dived into The '59 Sound with Springsteen trading vocals with Fallon.
As Springsteen left the stage, waving and grinning at the crowd, Fallon told them: "You've been good to us and that is our present to you."
