Bruce Springsteen joins The Gaslight Anthem

The Gaslight Anthem were joined onstage at Glastonbury yesterday (June 27) by a surprise guest.

Bruce Springsteen joined the New Jersey rockers for their set in the John Peel tent reports K!'s sister site Q Magazine. Ahead of his much-heralded headline set on the Pyramid Stage, he leant guest vocals and guitar to The '59 Sound, the title track from the band's second album.

Frontman Brian Fallon introduced Springsteen - "Can you hear that sound? I'm feeling waves from home." - before the 59-year-old strode onstage with guitar in hand, clad in a leather jacket and shades. As the crowd chanted the rocker's name, the band dived into The '59 Sound with Springsteen trading vocals with Fallon.

As Springsteen left the stage, waving and grinning at the crowd, Fallon told them: "You've been good to us and that is our present to you."

Grow up, learn that people have different tastes in music. Surely kerrang has a lot of different music than just the hits channel.

Each to their own!!

I hate people posting unnecessary negative comments.

Meh

Pfft I've learnt no matter what, you can't please everyone all the time, so they've as much a place in Kerrang! as say MSI.

Sure you might nto always like the cover featured band for example, but chances are there'll be something somewhere in the mag more to your tastes :p

You can watch the Gaslight Anthem's entire set on the BBC website. When Bruce joined them, it was fucking amazing. I wish I'd been there so much. Two of my favourite all-time artists.

Springsteen and The Gaslight Anthem

was watching the gaslight anthems Glastonbury set when they started talking about hearing 'waves from home'. i thought they were just setting up for their most popular song. i wasn't wrong, because they did play the '59 sound, but when MR Springsteen came on stage, it was electric. i normally don't listen to music that was made before the 90's, but Springsteen has opened my ears up to a whole new time line of music

Springsteen and the Gaslight Anthem

Gaslight Anthem are one of the best bands to come out of America with the likes of Green Day, MCR and many others. They have played to an excellent standard and i would be happy if they supported Muse on their next tour if timing allows it....
therefore Azrael, get some common sense you unbelievable f***wit... PS Cannot wait till V Fest - woop
