Pearl Jam bassist mugged

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament was attacked by a gang of masked men outside a recording studio last month.

The bassist and another man were accosted by three masked men outside Southern Tracks Recording Studio in Atlanta, Georgia on April 27.

According to police reports, the assailants smashed the windows of Ament's jeep and stole a Blackberry mobile phone, two computers and $3,000 in cash.

Ament was treated by paramedics for head injuries after one of the muggers knocked him to the floor as he tried to escape.

The attackers escaped in a waiting black Nissan Maxima. No arrests have yet been made.

I wouldn't wish mugging on my worst enemy, its a violation of personal space and safety, never mind being stabbed in the head. I personally wish Jeff all the best and hope that he makes a speedy recovery.
