Not a lot

Of action in this one, so here's a litle something that might perk things up.

Manson's album was rated ONE K in the reviews section. Oh dear Brian, how does it feel to stop being relevant?

1 k!

Mansons album was amazing, its nice to see him being more expressive and to be honest who ever rated him 1 k has no right to do so because they obviously do not appreciate REAL music and an artist who is brilliant at what he does in the studio and live. Some times you have to show respect and its disappointing to see none has been shown here.

Can't wait to read the feature on Cassadee Pope, Hey Monday rocked at the MEN arena supporting FOB!

Still have to buy the High End Of Low, but what Marilyn Manson said about MCR was uncalled for.

It's nice to see the Manics have become a regular in your magazine now. How about a proper feature in the future? Or perhaps a retrospective look back on The Holy Bible. The Manics get so overlooked it's annoying. People view them as just another "boring Britpop" band after Richey went missing, not knowing that The Holy Bible is one of the darkest, haunting and disturbing albums I have ever heard

Hi Kerrang! i was just wondering if it is possible that you could put a poster of hollywood Undead in one of your issues. It would be soo awesome if you could do that. Thankiiez. Frankiie :)

As someone who doesn't read Kerrang all that regularly, still not surprised to read that the same mag who gave Heaven & Hell's new album 2Ks gave the same score to Warbringer's 'Waking Into Nightmares', while continually sucking up to fifth-wave bands like The Blackout who, to be fair, aren't terrible, but are hardly doing something that Funeral For A Friend or Hundred Reasons weren't doing in years gone by.

Tell me Kerrang, is it really a crime for Warbringer to write thrash that isn't stupid or isn't about beer? I love Municipal Waste and Gama Bomb as much as the next thrash fan, but just cos Warbringer fall into the more brutal thrash category, doesn't mean they don't have memorable songs. Have you ever heard 'Total War' from the first album? That is a killer tune that you can shout along to.

And all I will say about Heaven & Hell's 'The Devil You Know' is that its pretty much the album of the year so far. Rarely does metal done better by anyone over the very people who gave the world heavy metal in the first place!

marilyn manson

I can't believe the crap review that Ian Winwood gave Marilyn Manson's new album The High End of Low. The album is awesome and I can't believe someone would be so disrespectful to him. He made his album for people to enjoy it and because he loves making music. So enjoy it or shut up. That's my response. Leave Marilyn Manson alone. He hasn't done anything but been honest with everyone, atleast he isn't bareface lying, is he? Just ask yourself that question and rethink everything you have said wrong about him. By the way great album, it rocks especially arma-godd**n-motherf**kin-geddon. loves ya all cya xx

So the album should instantly get 5 Ks just because Manson is being honest? What a great thought, you're hired! -_-

haha - mansons new album got rated better in Q than in Kerrang! to be honest manson needs a better band for some real inspiration if he wants to create an album as good as holywood or mechanical. more of the same just isnt enough, and i was shocked at how poor some of the lyrics were

I agree - some of this is ok, but not great, they couldve written "we're from america" and "armazZzZzgeddon" in their sleep. the best tracks on here are easily the clever oasis parody "Into The Fire" which could sound great live, and the downbeat "Running To The Edge Of The World". I could praise the album for being more experimental than usual with "4 Rusted Horses" etc, but unlike previous albums there feels like theres no overall feel or theme, more of a b-sides or left over collection from eat me drink me that didnt quite fit that album (which "high end" probably is anyway).

MM are capable of so much more, so more quality control next time mr munson, lol. kerrang gave it 1 out of 5 to highlight the fact that this singer is capable of alot better, although 3 out of 5 review wouldve been realistic, as this is still alot better than many bands out there today. of course, an individual review is simply that, many magazines give 2 out of 5 one yr (Q with RATM battle of los angeles) and then re-review the same title to a 4 out of 5 many years later-with someone elses view! so dont be too upset on the 1 out of 5. lol ;)

Rock Sound magazine gave high end of low 8 out of 10
