Soon, the little Black Paraders will be appearing at Dir en grey concerts and such like. Can you imagine it!? *shudders* I know Jrock has many many fangirls of its own, but I should be embarrassed to attend a Jrock concert if the venue is full of MCR freaks. They will simply be there because "Gerard Way went Jrock, so so will we."

You do realise how difficult it would be to get Kerrang out more than once a week.

And I think they need to tone down the MCR coverage, and broaden their horizons by featuring bands like The Cure and Radiohead

It's clear from Kerrang's constant coverage of My Chemical Romance, the Blackout, My Passion and Paramore that they are NOT interested in appealing to genuine rock fans. They are branching away from music and into gossip.

You can see it in the comments fans pass about these band "OMG he's soooo cute", "they're so sxi", etc, etc. that these bands are purely for fangirls who value style over substance.

The live reviews are peppered with what 13 year old girls who went to the gig thought - not what people who have a clue about music think.

Kerrang used to be about rock music, but now they're more interested in pop bands and the private lives of Gerrard Way, Pete Wentz and Hayley Williams. It's a depressing turn of events that these "bands" and "artists" are getting more coverage due to their fame than bands with legitimate talent.

When they do feature real bands, it seems to be the same ones over and over. We get article after article about Marilyn Manson and Slipknot and it's really starting to bore me. Last Summer when the Gaslight Anthem hit the pages of kerrang they got countless column inches - I love the Gaslight Anthem, but the over-kill got to me.

Kerrang - fix up, look sharp or you'll lose the real music fans.

I susally like the Kerrang mag but every time I see the Blackout on it I want to stab the page with whatever I can find. Sean Smith is a total twat & the sad excuse for a band deserves to rot in hell. Kerrang is going so far downhill the friction is gunna set your asses on fire. You're giving what the stupid fan girls want, those who don't give a dam about music just what the lead singer looks like. In the good days of rock it was the music that was important. I can't say that there arn't sexy rockers (e.g. Chris #2) but Music is more important. You'll loose business even faster if you keep this up. I wanna see more proper music instead of just pretty boys who spend more time in the dressing room than in the recording studio

If you want a little more respect get some proper puck & hevy metal going on instead of this pathetic shit.

he isnt a twat he is a really nice person, he always makes time to talk to his fans, and he is entitled to his own opinions on kurt cobain.
he isnt obsessed with the way he looks and doesnt spend hours making himself look good.
he cant help it if he was born with a great face!
and their music is great, alot of people do just like them because of sean but not everybody. they have hundreds of fans becase of their natural talents to make sweet songs :)
