Lostprophets are set to headline the Radio 1 tent at this years Reading And Leeds Festival on August 29 (Leeds) and August 30 (Reading).
"We've been dying to come back to the UK and play and when we realised the timing meant we could make it Reading and Leeds we jumped at the chance as it's got the most amazing memories for us," frontman Ian Watkins told Kerrang!. "We also thought that rather than playing on the main stage we could get in the tent and see the whites of the eyes of the fans down the front, and get their first hand reaction to the new songs. It'll be amazing!"
The Pontypridd band, who last toured the UK in 2007, have been working on the follow-up to their Number One album Liberation Transmission at Kingsize Soundlabs in Los Angeles.
