As previously reported in Kerrang! magazine, William Control - the alter ego of Aiden frontman WiL Francis - made a special Christmas message for fans across the world.
The singer uploaded his message online on December 25, with the aim to address world issues as well as sending out a positive message to viewers across the globe.
"I think we can all agree this year has been fucking crazy on many levels," says Francis. "The economy's gone to shit, the music industry is a fucking mess, nature is rebelling and the whole world is pretty much fucked and on a personal level it's been a tough one for me too. I guess I wanted to give some people some hope."
The message is a "twist on the traditions of Christmas" with a distinctly British theme especially for all of fans here in the UK.
"I am not wearing a santa suit but I'm no scrooge, and hell knows we all need to find something to celebrate," Francis tells K!. "I guess I want to let people know that no matter how bad times get, sitting and doing nothing about the fucked up shit around you just makes it worse. I want to let people know it's ok to be angry, but it's what you do about it that counts. Good stuff can emerge from bad times!"

William Control's debut album Hate Culture is out now through Victory Records.
