It happens to us all. Maybe it's an older sibling, a friend, or even a parent, but it is inevitable that, one day, someone will shatter our childhood illusions and tell us that Father Christmas isn't actually real.
It was a "dark, dark day" for You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi when he learned that Santa wouldn't be coming down his chimney...
"Christmas has kind of lost it's magic for me, ever since I found out that Father Christmas wasn't real," the singer told Kerrang!. "It was when I was 14... That's when I stopped getting presents at the end of my bed.
"My parents told me he'd stopped coming to our house so I said, 'Why? What have I done wrong?'," he continues. "That was dark, dark - a really horrible way to find out about it!"
He was 14? Jesus H. Christ...
Well, if you see Josh over the festive period, please, please don't tell him that The Tooth Fairy and The Easter Bunny don't exist!
