It's been a whirlwind year and a half for Nightwish and especially for new singer Anette Olzon.
Since the Swedish-born vocalist replaced former frontwoman Tarja Turunen last May, the Finnish goth metal heroes have toured China and Brazil, met Lewis Hamilton and released their KKKKK-rated album Dark Passion Play, which has become their biggest selling record to date.
It's no wonder then, that Anette is planning a quiet Christmas.
"I'm just gonna be home with my family for Christmas," she told Kerrang!. "I'm divorced and I have a son and this year it's my turn to have him in the evening on Christmas day, which I'm really looking forward to."
"And for New Year, I'm going to go skiing with my sister," she added. "I have three months off and I'm really excited about that, because I can catch up with the friends and family I've neglected over the last year and a half!"
Nightwish will headline London's Brixton Academy on March 11.
