Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich sold a painting by the late Jean-Michel Basquiat for $13.5 million (£9.12 million) at an auction in New York on November 12.
The painting, Untitled (Boxer) exceeded the pre-auction estimate of $12 million at Christie’s.
Basquiat was a New York neo-expressionist who died of a drug overdose in 1988. He was 27.
