The Burning Question 29/10/2008

Kerrang! is pleased to announce that the UK's number one rock festival, Download, will return to Donington next June.

Festival organizers Live Nation have confirmed that Download 2009 will take place on 12, 13, 14 June 2009.

So, this week's Burning Question is:

WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE HEADLINE NEXT YEAR'S FESTIVAL?

In Flames should headline next year, maybe not the Sunday night but they'd be perfect for the Friday or Saturday. They are amazing live and if permitted they have spectacular pyro for festivals and headline shows which I would love to see!

It's hard to pick just 3 bands but I'd love to see Slayer, Protest The Hero and R.A.T.M, I think that'd be pretty beasty! As long as no generic pop-punk bands headline I'll be happy.

that doesnt mean MCR like in 2007 or lostprophets in 2008, REAL FUCKIN METAL
personally id love to see trivium, metallica and lamb of god. thats real music.
I went to see trivium on monday night on the first night of the Unholy Allience III tour, and for me, they outplayed slayer by miles, thats not to say that slayer aren't epic aswell...maybe they should play download next year as well

I'd LOVE MCR to headline but I don't see it happening cus they're on a break =/
So in reality I want Mindless Self Indulgence cus I think it'd be great for them to headline cus they deserve it :]

I really desire to see MCR play at download because they are simply awesome. However i realise that they are on a break so might not want to play but i think 30STM are also amazing so they could play or greenday they are amazing they must play as they are simply amazing or bullet for my valentine as they did win best british band at the kerrang awards. Not hard to beat last years to be honest, KISS are fat sellouts, Offspring have lost their shine, and Lostprophets have lost momentum, rightfully so, they ARE between albums, it made no sense for them to headline last year.

SO, I'd go with a legendary band, a band that has been around a quite while but are still huge, and a new breakthrough act -
AC/DC
Slipknot
Bullet For My Valentine

Of course, in a dream, it would be Pearl Jam, Faith No More and System of a Down :)

METALLICA - new album and i'd love to see this band live
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - people miss them and it would be awesometo see these live again aswell

oh Rise Against and Billy Talent would be fucking great as headliners.
first of all they are both amazing live.
Rise Against just got a new album that kicks ass and that got a powerful message that should be spread all over the world!
and Billy Talent are just about making a new album. so if those would be headliners I would be happy as fuck. :D
