Paramore post new track online

Paramore have finished work on their track for the Twilight soundtrack and author Stephanie Mayer has posted it on her website.

"Twilight is the first series of books I've ever read," said Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams. "I didn't get into the Harry Potter series, even though I love the movies. Twilight really caught my attention and held it. I'm really excited to see the book adapted to film and excited that our band gets to be a part of the phenomenon.

"I chose the title Decode because the song is about the building tension, awkwardness, anger and confusion between [Twilight's lead characters] Bella and Edward," continued Williams. "Bella is the only mind Edward can't read, and I feel like that's a big part of the first book and one of the obstacles for them to overcome. It's one added tension that makes the story even better."

Twilight is due for release in the US at the end of November, and was directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen) and stars Kristen Stewart (Panic Room) and British-born actor Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire) as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen respectively.

The Twilight soundtrack will be released in the UK on December 15.

Not a bad song but I wouldn't have picked Paramore to soundtrack Twilight - their sound doesn't make impact on me and isn't dark enough for a vampire series. Won't stop me from seeing it anyway!

Btw, when deciding on who would play Edward, they actually considered Gerard Way for the role. Shame they didn't give it to him coz he'd make such a gorgeous and scary vampire. Robert Pattinson doesn't quite fit the character if you ask me - he'll still always be Cedric Diggory in my eyes!

Comfortably better than anything on Riot and most of AWKIF, I love the vocals and the drums and guitar solo are fairly good as well. I can see influences from Receiving ends of Sirens and Thrice on top of an almost Muse vibe, so it's fairly good in my opinion.

hey what can i say - that was 3ish minutes of my life wated on another shit song by a band who just keep getting worse.
When i first heard paramore which was just after they released thier 1st album i thought hey heir quite good so i bougth the album the i got the second 1 and i still cant tell the difference between tracks. Paramore have become boring and uniamgentive and if hayley wasnt quite so fit no guy would listen to them!

"darkness"

Soory here - not trying to be rude. But i have a point to make. Both Paramore and Twilight aren't 'dark'. Everyone knows there is darker music. I've read the first to books of the series and compared to the classics ie - THE VAMPIRE CHRONICLES - twilight is a bit of err... very light entertainment. Don't attack me because of it - and fans of SM know that the woman has claimed several times to not read horror. I find it funny how some of you can call 'twilight' dark.

Bleh.

I hate the books, and I was kind of stoked that Paramore were doing the soundtrack's main song, but it's pretty lame. Hayley's voice is overprocessed again (she has such a beautiful voice live, but they always fucking overprocess it and make it so fucking high pitched and shrieky) and the track is slow and boring and not dark at all.

Either way, kudos to them for getting a song on the album.

I agree with some person up there ^^ You can hardly class Twilight as 'dark' but you can say it's awesome. :)

And I think the song goes well. Its not about vampires, it's about love. It suits it.
I can't wait till Decemeber.
Forget Christmas, Twilight Film is more important this year, FOR ME; before you go off on one..
Oh and Gerard Way playing Edward would of been weird, but hot none the less.

ive been completely pessimistic about this whole film
coz i saw one picture and thaught they look nothing like they did in my mind and didnt want the film to spoil the books
