HIM frontman in movie role

HIM frontman Ville Valo has unveiled another string to his bow.

The vocalist has revealed that he will voice an amorous hippo called Moto Moto in the Finnish dub of Madagascar Escape 2 Africa.

The film will be in theaters from November 21.

I don't really listen to rap and hip hop but I can show respect to the genre and I do appreciate some of the songs. Not a big a fan of today's "metal" music but I don't go around knocking bands like Evergrey, Trivium, Dragon Force, etc. They all have listenable songs and are extremely talented musicians. So I don't understand it when people get sooo frustated when a guy like Ville Valo, who has worked and toured his ass off for years, gets some attention. You could listen to GWAR for all I know. What sort of label should one come up with for you? I'm 37yrs old. I listen to HIM,MCR, Lordi, lots of bands ...Emo, Scream-o, what the hell ever-o. Doesn't really fit your stereotypical handle does it?

I love listening to H.I.M and loved the movie Madagascar!!! I dont see how its pointless (from my POV) It would be cool nowadays to have ppl like him be in cool movies like Madagascar, example: Green Day starred in The Simpsons Movie and Avril Lavigne (which idk why i bother, she's not even part of the whole Kerrang shabang) played a Opossum (sorry if mispelled) in Over The Hedge. And deff knowing he'll be playing a hippo, theres gotta be some comedy towards it (its obvious, it was a funny movie). But im excited!!!

I think that Ville voicing a hippo is sweet. And it's always good to try something new. Ville has a lovely voice, which fits about just anything.
