Fall Out Boy enlist Blondie and Lil Wayne

Fall Out Boy have revealed that they have a series of special guests featuring on their upcoming new album Folie à Deux.

Chatting to MTV, bassist Pete Wentz explained that not only has one of the new tracks been produced by Pharrell Williams (N.E.R.D), but that the record also features performances from Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry, rapper Lil Wayne, Elvis Costello, Brendon Urie, Travis Mckoy, Alex deLeon and William Beckett.

The track-listing for the album is as follows:

I thought Fall Out Boy's last album, Infinity on Hogh was awsome so I was really looking forward to this new one. But now with all this talk of Blondie and N.E.R.D. ? WTF? I'm having second thoughts.

To sell magazines, it's not about the music it's about money.

They know if they put these fuckers on the cover it will sell, same as MCR, Paramore etc etc.

This lot could shit on a plate and the discerning fans would still buy it.

I'm going to see FOB, and I cannot wait for FAD. I'm a die hard, a REAL music fan who SUPPORTS THEIR FAVOURITE BAND whichever direction they decide to go in. Sure, I agree their old stuff was better than some of their new stuff, but I still think it's amazing. And no, I don't only like them because of Pete. I've been counting down the days for 4 months now, because I've been so hyped to go see some of my heroes play my fave songs live. If you hate FOB, why waste energy and write hate mail on a post that FOB aren't likely to read?

Must have been a rubbish album when they 1st recorded it - otherwise they wouldn't beef it up with Debbie Harry, Elvis Costello etc.

Some of the bands I like collaborate with other musicians for B sides etc, but featuring 7 guest musicians on an album is OTT.

To be honest, you can't really hate Fall Out Boy because there over-mentioned, its not their fault really.
I think its pretty cool they have so many other artists of different genres of music to feature on their album.
And really whats the point in bad mouthing them if their not really going to come across this blog anyway, if you really think they'd care about what you have to say why don't you go write it somewhere where they will see it.
