Anti-Flag singer Justin Sane plans to release his second solo effort in 2009.
Suggesting that the new album will be more personal than his 2002 record Life, Love And The Pursuit Of Justice, Sane also says that lyrics address his international roots.
“I’m an Irish citizen, I do have US citizenship too…and I’ve been living in London for the past year. It’s pretty amazing, it’s had a lot of impact on my life and there are a lot of stories to tell out of that”, he told American website The Alternative Star.
Fans of Anti-Flag shouldn’t expect much in the way of political vitriol, though.
“I’ll probably leave the political writing for my Anti-Flag songs and leave the personal topics for my solo stuff. It’s difficult; we have a lot of personal stories to tell but not a lot of kids listening to Anti-Flag want to hear those stories!”
Anti Flag are on tour with Rise Against and Flobots in February and March.
