Staind play London charity gig

Staind will play a special show next week at London's Hard Rock Cafe as part of the popular food chain's Pinktober series of gigs in aid of The Caron Keating Foundation For Cancer Research.

The gig takes place next Wednesday (September 17). Tickets are onsale now and cost £18 from here.

Corporate Suits Pretending To Give A Shit

Fucking Hard Rock cafe. I hate the way these big companies try to make out they give a shit by supporting worthy causes to enhance their public image.

If they really did give a shit they would start by paying their staff more money and increase benefits, but that of course doesn't generate as much positive press. Besides, it costs too much.

This also goes for a whole host of companies, Nike, McDonald's, fucking Starbucks et al.

I do agree, £18 to see Staind is a little over the top. They released 1 decent Album then disapeared for like 6 years. Dont get me wrong Ive seen them before and they were good back in 2002, But to pay that price for a band who havn't released a decent album for 6 years is bit much.I'd rather pay the extra £7 and see bands like Slipknot, BFMV etc.

it's not true that they didn't release a decent album in 6 years. chapter V and also the new album the illusion of progress are very good, it's just that they changed and some of the "older fans" can't get along with that in my opinion.

£18 to see Staind is stupid but if you are going to the Nickelback gig next week, you are paying £36 ish to see them, they are the support act i believe

Has it escaped everyone's attention that this is a charity gig? If you want to see Staind you will pay whatever the price is, particularly if it is in aid of such a worthy cause - cancer research - and all of the money you pay will be going to charity. Does anyone read the stories on the site before trying to make comical comments?!
