Led Zeppelin to tour?

Led Zeppelin are apparently planning a full world tour for next summer.

The seminal British heavy metal band reunited for a one off show at London's O2 Arena last December, however it was alleged that Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant was reluctant to do anything more than a one off gig.

However, a source close to the band told The Sun newspaper, "Plant realised he couldn't face the thought of not being involved. The band were over the moon when he told them the news."

No they're not, well at least not with Plant. A statement on behalf of Plant says:

"Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin," it said.

"Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets."

For fucks sake - why do Kerrang take The Sun as a reliable source of information - oh yeah...they're both comics for the under educated.

As much as i love Led Zep, the chance that an average Joe will see them is unlikely. Only fat cats and people with deep pockets would have an opportunity to. When bands get to this stage its time to move on and not bother, they have lost real fans

LED ZEPPELIN are going ahead with their tour despite ROBERT PLANT’s refusal to join them.
I told you JIMMY PAGE, JOHN PAUL JONES and JASON BONHAM have been rehearsing with an unidentified US singer.

I can now reveal the man in question is MYLES KENNEDY frontman with US rockers ALTER BRIDGE.

And Zep are so pleased with him they have decided to take him on the tour, with Robert continuing to drag his heels.
