Fair play a lot of people may LOVE this.
There are some really good tracks...Fighting With Wire, Cancer Bats, Dillinger Escape Plan, Gallows, Weezer. But there's too many old and boring tracks which you could probably pick up on a NOW CD anyways.

Should have released another one of those 'Best of the new bands/underground' compilations you did last time Kerrang! that was quality!

this is probably the shittest album of the year. the best songs on it are Spread Legs Not Lies and Waterfront Danceclub.

the only reason why kerrang has put this shit on to a disc is because they know it will sell 100000000000000's. Think about it, imagine all the little 12 years old buying this, one it's got kerrang wrote across it which will make they feel well rawwwwwwk and two, it's got bands on their who think there heavy rawwwk.

just seeing the track list makes me want to blind myself permanently by smashing the bottom off a beer bottle and then jabbing it repeatedly into each of my eyes, just imagine what i'd do to myself if i actually heard it.

You haven't recieved one good comment on this cd yet. My suggestion is to bin it before you release it and take this'news' down and pretend it never happened and THEN make something with actual heavy songs on it.

That shit is mostly fukin pop! There r a few gooduns (black tide, slipknot, machine head, enter shikari, MCR, FFAF) but most of it is generic, boring, SHIT POP PUNK BANDS WHO ALL LOOK, SOUND AND ACT EXACTLY THE SAME

Destroy this thing and make a real cd with proper Kerrang bands on it

WE WANT METALLICA, IRON MAIDEN, SLAYER AND THE SEX PISTOLS, DAMMIT!

This CD is pretty much the Kerrang manifesto.

That would also explain why I don't buy the rag. Still the continued featuring of Madina Lake is a source of amusement.

I guess the only good thing is that anyone who buys it gets a free CD case and a beer coaster.

Some great shit on there (which I and any decent person already have) like Gallows, The Gaslight Anthem, A7X, Cancer Bats, FFAF and Biffy Clyro.
But the rest is either awful or old. It ain't as dramatically bad as most commenters have said, but I'll be avoiding it fo' shooo'

I know Bert McCracken isn't as "pretty" as Gerard Way and Brendon Urie and Jared Leto, but how about a little more coverage for them? I'm sick of opening my Kerrang! every week and reading about how Pete Wentz farted yesterday or how Hayley Williams has got a song on yet ANOTHER TV show, advert or whatever.

And I agree with Kiwi, WTTBP is fucking 2006. MCR haven't even released a track in 2008! What the fuck! I'm a fan of the band for the most part, but surely Kerrang! you have to stop this ass-licking sooner or later... I'm sure when they come out with another album you'll give it one K, bitch and whine about how it's not as epic as TBP, and drop them like a hot coal.

I love half of those bands on there, and i think its cool and all. But half of those arent even from 2008. I LOVE My Chem, but WTTBP was from 2006, Green Day's American Idiot was 2004, again I LOVE Green Day as well, but thats not even close to 2008. Kid rock's song isnt even close, it just reminds me of the annoying song Sweet Home Alabama (its not like i hear that in Alabama anyways....) But yeah. Maybe just add MORE songs that come around late 2007 or in 2008??? Maybe add Flyleaf? Just saying since it has that kinda razzle dazzle hard rock into it, just an opinion.

It's An Alright Album Really but i agree they can go harder. i mean, they haven't even got a GOOD good charlotte song on there (e.g the river), and to all of those wanting like guns and roses and that kinda stuff, kerrang has already got enough outdated music on here!
