Foo Fighters go on hiatus

Foo Fighters mainman Dave Grohl has revealed that his band are going on hiatus and fans shouldn't expect a new album from the squillion-selling rockers any time soon.

"We've never really taken a long break, I think it's time," Grohl told Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles.

"After doing Wembley Stadium we shouldn't come back there for 10 years because we've played to everybody," joked the frontman. "We're over in the UK every year, every summer, so I think it's time to take a break and come back over when people really miss us."

I'm 16 and for the past 16 years Foo Fighters have always helped me through the tough times. You guys do deserve a break, you're all amazing and true inspirations. When I found out you guys were going on hiatus I lost it because I don't want you to go away. I'll wait as long as I need to for a new record because I know Dave, Taylor, Nate and Chris will come back and be better then ever. Goodbye and Good Luck boys. Take it easy.

ma bad I meant 12 not 16 years, yes that means I heard them when I was first four years old(born in 92' they put out FF in 95 and I heard it the year after). So excuse the minor/major mistake in my typing...it was early I was tired and quite upset from the news. Gotta love how some pricks make comments like "Why don’t you just fuck off and stick a shotgun against your head and fire it just like Kurt did. You fucking retard. idid hear somewhere ultimateguitar.com i believe.. that nate mandell has said that the band are all ready writing new songs.. so maybe they'll be back sooner?
