Exclusive: Metallica play extremely intimate UK show

Metallica will play an exclusive intimate show for BBC Radio 1 and you could be there!

The band will celebrate the release of their long-awaited new album Death Magnetic by performing before an intimate audience at London's BBC Radio Theatre on September 14, which will be broadcast the following evening.

Readers can register online for a chance to get tickets for the gig and will be selected randomly. Registration opens at 7:30pm on September 2 and closes on September 5 at 7:30pm. "Playing in a small radio theatre is going to be really interesting!" drummer Lars Ulrich told Kerrang!. "I can't tell you how excited I am at the prospect of playing some new material. So far we've only played a couple of them live - Cyanide and The Day That Never Comes - but I think that with the record being released that week that we're definitely going to look at throwing a few more in sooner rather than later."

I just saw this on another site -

It has recently been reported that james hetfield, frontman of metallica, is to engage in a cival partnership with matt heafy from trivium. This comes as a shock to hardcore metallica fans as they would have never have guessed hetfield was a poof, though it was obvious to the rest of us.This comes at an eventful time for the band, as just last week it was announced lars ulrich bums dogs.

I thought it was that they were announcing, would have been more interesting at least.

I had to laugh at this page with all it's retards, idiots and general f**kwits slagging off Metallica. For a start off, I've been into Metallica since the first mighty album, and have for the most part enjoyed everything they've done. St Anger was a fairly strong album that suffered from poor working environments and even worse production. The songs themselves were pretty good. Not classic Metallica, I'll grant you, but syill pretty good.

The thing that really cracks me up though is all the aforementioned retards, idiots and general f**kwits slagging off Metallica when the can't even spell the band's f**king name!! It's not rocket science, guys, just to help you out, it's written a few times in the article you're supposed to be commenting on. Mettalica? Metalica? Get it right and get a brain before you start slagging off people who've worked damn hard all their lives and still have the passion and integrity they started out with. I saw them last year at Wembley and the were amazing.
