sevenfold are fucking amazing! i think that the way the albums differ is great it makes the albums distinctive and show new creativity.

Whether its A7x, Slipknot, KISS, Motley Crue, or whichever band is enjoying a great amount of success, some prick of a never-was with a 'voice' will always try to do their best to hate.

Your so right, don't think anyone could of wrote it any better, like you said it will always be someone that people will criticize, people are saying they aren't what they use to be, but I know a lot of metal heads, and I mean proper hard metal that still like them

So change doesn't always mean for worse, just taking a new direction rather then getting repetitive with the same sound over and over again

In music there are always gonna be critics and its not like one band can please everyone so i'm glad they write stuff that their fans will like and not sell out to the critics...

I love avenged and have every one of thier albums and i love the change from album to album because i don't have to listen to the same stuff over and over again...

Admitted that some of the songs on this album are not to my taste but most of them i LOVE so i think this album deserved to win...

I agree totally with Indz! Its great that the band evolve from album to album because it means that each album sounds fresh, its great that A7X appreciate their fans and make music that we want to hear.

Shit i cant wait to see them when they come to UK next year.

Anyone on here who says they don't like A7X, you just haven't listened to them enough. Go sit in a darkened room and listen to City of Evil four or five times. You'll be better for it and maybe not so angry at the world for your own sad sorry excuse of a life.

dont get me wrong I like A7X but if they were a fans band they wouldnt fucking cancel 9/10 of their tours.....

But they won that K! award fair and square. Of course, it was voted for by the fans. Obsessive fanbases (i.e. MCR, 30stm) vote so many damn times, that their band wins.

Are Avenged Sevenfold one of the best rock bands ever? Hell, no. But they've certainly made a mark in this era, and that's not going to change anytime soon.

Time will tell, when we look back in 20 years and see if they're held in the same esteem as Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden are now.

I used to like this band.
Until the cancelled a string of dates back in 2006 which left me utterly disappointed.
But times moved on and the new album was pleasing,
until Reading festival when yes again, you guessed it they pulled out.
Calling them a fan's band in my opinion is not only pathetic, its a fucking joke.

I've been a huge fan of A7X for years. Way before they became popular and famous. At first when I saw that they were loved in kerrang! i was like "yeahhh go them" but now i've changed my mind. A7X have had so much criticism from people complaining they don't give 110% to teir fans all the time, I prefered it when they weren't well known and the people that knew them didnt hate them.
