AVA plan new album and Blink 182 to reform?

Angels And Airwaves are busy writing material for the follow-up to 2007's I-Empire.

According to an article in US newspaper The San Diego Reader, the band plan to hit the studio in January for a mid 2009 release.

The newspaper also alleges that DeLonge's former band, Blink 182, are getting back together citing an unnamed source connected with the San Diego pop punkers as saying:

"Poppy music is coming back again. When everybody is out of work long enough, we may see them get back together."

It would be great if Blink would ever get back together.
Mark and Tom were like best friends for fucking ages, you'd think they'll wanna speak to each other again eventually once all the petty shit gets forgotten.
Good news on the AVA album even if the Blink stuff isnt true, I think theyre pretty damn good!

I Don't Think They Are Struggling, But It's Just No Matter What You Do, You'll Never Become As Famous As Blink. They Were The Best Punk Pop Band Round The World, And They Aren't Struggling, It's Just Popularity. And, As Tom DeLonge Said Himself, There Are No Possible Ways That They Could Reunight.

Blink getting together is a remote possibility once the guys have finished their work with ava and +44, the guys have (indipendantly) said they look back on those times as the best of their lives and don't hate each other, Tom especially has said he was acting wierd coz of drugs, and Mark admitted he took Box Car Racer the wrong way.

I like both bands, ava are quite good, I dont get the hate. Its all just seems to be resentment that its not blink. get over it morons.

Blink reunion?

i've heard tons and tons of these blink rumours, and i don't see it happening very soon.

AVA has launched modlife, working with NASA, doing a fall tour with weezer, and recording the new album in january.

Mark has been producing albums for NFG, socratic and so on, and when Travis is finished with his solo project, with teaming up with DJAM, they will begin the recording for +44's 2nd album!

I'm a massive fan of blink, but in my opinion i would prefer the guys doing what they truely love, and i really hope for a re-friendship!

Blink/ AVA

To be honest, Blink-182 should reform, if only for one tour. AVA are really shit and self-indulgent and +44 aren't that much better. Bring back the good old days. Meanwhile, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
