My Chemical Romance, AFI, Fall Out Boy, 30 Seconds To Mars and 65daysofstatic have all teamed up to remix tracks by The Cure in aid of the International Red Cross.
The Hypnagogic States EP will be rleased on September 13 and will feature the following tracklisting:
01, The Only One (remixed by Jared Leto from 30 Seconds To Mars)
02, Freakshow (remixed by Jade Puget from AFI)
03, Sleep When I'm Dead (remixed by Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance)
04, The Perfect Boy (remixed by Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy)
05, Exploding Head Syndrome' (a mix of all four tracks by 65 Days Of Static)
The Cure's as yet untitled 13th studio album will be released on October 13.
It's like a mesh of all of my favourite bands! I'm glad it's for a decent cause aswell.
Can't wait for the new Cure album either =D

As much as I like MCR and AFI they should leave legends like The Cure alone even it's for a good cause they could just donate the money to charity.

The love The Cure. I finally got to see them at the ACC in Toronto recently, awesome!
I know it's for charity but the idea of their songs being butchered by those MCR, FOB and 30STM fuckers fills me with dread.
Needless to say I won't be buying it. I would rather give my money to one of the homeless who sleep on top of the subway vents. Fueling their drug and alcohol addictions is a far more worthy cause.

I have to agree with you there, even if I liked the bands I would be cautious because the general rule of remixes is that they pale in comparison to the original.

That's it in a nutshell!
But I did just remember that Jack Off Jill did a cover of Love Song and that was actually pretty cool. Jessicka added a nice screamy bit at the end.
That track should be on this EP. It's the 'hidden' track on the end of Clear Hearts, Grey Flowers if anyone is interested.

Im a HUGE fan of My Chem and FOB. and finding out their helping with the international red cross makes me luv em more!! Im also happy about it too and how much they care. Id love to buy the cd. MCR and FOB can pull of songs that they do, so id love to hear em.

Cool. Hey, kerrang, will you please do a huge feature on AFI as soon as possible? I'm really thirsty for more news on AFI, and an interview with them would truly thrill me. And when you get more news on them, could you at least use a different picture of Davey Havok?
