Acclaimed record producer Jerry Finn passed away yesterday. He was 38 years old.
The man responsible for Green Day's Dookie, Rancid's ...And Out Come The Wolves, Sum 41's All Killer No Filler, Blink 182's Take Off Your Pants And Jacket's, Alkaline Trio's Crimson, AFI's Decemberunderground and +44's When Your Heart Stops Beating albums among others, was taken off life support on August 12.
Finn suffered a severe brain haemorrhage in July and never regained consciousness.
A close friend of Finn said:
"The haemorrhage [did] massive damage to his body which [would have left] him severely disabled and in need of acute care for the rest of his life. We know Jerry wouldn't want to live like this in a vegetative state."
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
