EXCLUSIVE! Coheed announce UK Neverender dates

Coheed And Cambria have revealed exclusively to Kerrang! that they'll be bringing their highly anticipated Neverender run of shows to the UK this December.

The band will play each of their four studios album in their entirety at London's Astoria. They'll play The Second Stage Turbine Blade on December 1, In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3 (Dec 2), Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. 1 (Dec 3) and No World For Tomorrow (Dec 4).

Fan club members who buy a special VIP package will get to meet the band and will be treated to an exclusive afternoon acoustic show on the final date.

Surprise Surprise

Once again, fans from North of the border get screwed over when it comes to bands playing in the "UK" (Read:England) It's about time bands realised that they have a fanbase north of Hadrian's wall, for bands to advertise these as "UK" shows is nothing short of deceptive in my opinion. It really disappoints me as Scottish crowds are almost always brilliant.

Surprise Surprise

Hey, if you think Scotland gets screwed you should try living in Ireland.. second thoughts, maybe not.. we hardly get anyone over here, so if we really want to see bands a lot of the time we have to either miss out, or spend a huge amount flying to the UK like flying to Glasgow last year for Alexisonfire and Taste of Chaos, techincally shouln't cost much, Ryan air flights and staying in dodgy hostels but when you figure in the exchange rate form euros to pounds, ouch!

i agree!

i will be travelling hours by coach most likely, i will be going it alone, in the middle of london... is it worth it? YES IT DEFINITELY IS!!! we are lucky we're only paying £66 for the tickets, and it's an absolute godsend that it's in Ldn as some of us were considering forking out for the NY show which would have cost near a £1000!

do tickets go on general sale tomorrow?? i was reading it as though only fan club pre-sale ones were tomorrow...... will that include just general sale aswell??

im confused now.. i need tickets though.! i was hoping it would be next week! at reading this weekend also...

please tell me the general sale to the public and not fanclub isnt tomorrow??!!

Chris Pennie is a damn fine drummer - had the great honour of working with him at Drumfest last month... played F*ckin killer sets!! And, he's a thoroughly nice chap too. = )

Unfortunately, some people have got little things like college and Uni to consider, as well as the funds to get there and back. of course, you probably have mummy and daddy catering to your every whim (hey, if you're going to throw about accusations etc. I will too)

I would go down, but I have this year to fix things I messed up last year, to get into uni next year, so I can't afford to go down south for a gig. nor should i really have to. Bands shouldn't say "UK Dates" Unless they're playing in countries that aren't england. if that's how it will be, they should just do everyone a favour, and say it's an english date, as opposed to insulting the intelligence of their fans from elsewhere in the union.

To be fair you can't expect coheed to travel all over, the whole point of neverender is it’s a special one off tour. (Although they will probably do another like this when 5th album is out right?) sure its unfair that people have to travel, But that’s life, you can't expect them to go to every city and town out there, Plus we should feel lucky they came here at all, the rest of the world aint getting anything. Plus think about the USA, only 3 neverender weekends for the whole of their fan base? its worse for them really.

Anyway its going to be awesome. but they can't reach every fan, every tour. that’s why we have CD's :D

This is NEVER going to happen again. The band have announced that the London dates are the absolute final last dates. But if you can't make it then it's coming out on DVD.

Personally I'm gutted I couldn't go, but there are more important things in life, as much as it pains me to say it, such is my love for Coheed.
