They are shit. Unfortunatly i have had the bad experience of seeing this shit band live twice, once before i had even heard their music, and one of their support bands, Bloodsimple, were 100x better.

The second time was just because they were supporting maiden. They didnt deserve it, stupid fuckers didnt even finish their last song. Plus i threw a bottle at them... good times.

Things change (I agree) and its important to try and keep up with the times but you refer to bands like Trivium & Avenged Wankfold as if they are in the same league as the "glorious 80's" (your words) bands.

I was lucky enough to catch them at Leeds and for all their problems (3 of them looked really sick) they did really well. I had never seen them live before and i was really impressed.

Although i totally cringed when they let a girl up on stage to sing with them. She was terrified.

I love how everyone's insulting A7X because they're not metal. They've never claimed to be metal. You read interviews etc and they never say they're metal.

They're a great band. They're all incredibly talented - say what you like, half of you couldn't pull off the things they do. Their music is always fun, always exciting. They're just being themselves, they're not trying to be some big metal band or some punk band or some emo band. They're just being Avenged Sevenfold and they're damn good at it.

I was at Reading festival and I thought, along with most other people that was a pretty pathetic reason to pull out. I like the band but as far as I can tell they partied too hard on thursday night, were not up to par on Friday at Leeds due to this and then decided not to play Reading so they could recover. They may or may not have actually needed to miss it; however I think that in all likelihood they problems were self inflicted and no matter what they say they let fans down, plain and simple.

That said, given the form Metallica were in, by the end of the night I don't think anyone remebered that a7x were ever meant to play.

Like it or not Avenged are one of the biggest bands in the world rite now and i'm sure they dnt give a fuck wot u think! they also do not claim to be metal. and dont judge the band because you listened to one song and didnt like it. sit down and listen to their lyrics...they actually have a meaning unlike most bands, and sysnyster gates is one of the best guitar players ive heard...if you all are just u gunna talk that nasty, keep that bullshit to yourselves
