It's a straight cover. There's no point to it, and it shows a complete lack of imagination. It's not hard to do a ecent punk cover - Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have been doing it for years!

OMG.
this is one of the greatest covers i have ever heard! Kelly Clarkson can kiss her job goodbye. I use to hate this song, now ive got a good reason to love it. bloody excellent!

i already thought this song was pretty rockin' cos yeh she may be pop but i like kelly cos she can really sing. much prefer her version, just because its a bloke singing it now doesnt make it any cooler or more rock. in fact it makes it worse

Clearly Kerrang haven't heard the live cover version of Justin Timberlake's Like I Love You, by none other than The Dillinger Escape Plan with Mike Patton on vocals. That is genius. This, however, is not.
