Trivium confirm tracklisting for album number four
Trivium, who are currently putting the finishing touches to their upcoming fourth studio album, Shogun, have posted the second episode of their exclusive studio report online.
The three minute clip sees moustachioed bassist Paolo Gregoletto swearing more then an episode of The Osbournes and exclaiming that the band's 2006 album, The Crusade, "didn't kick people's asses" as much as it could have.

In related news, Trivium have confirmed the full track listing for Shogun, which will be released in the UK on September 29.

Quite frankly the titles alone sound more metal than the songs themselves found on The Crusade.
Hope they keep to their promise and go back to being heavier. Lol being from Florida which has a big Death Metal scene I reckon they should (if not already done so) add some Satanic influences! ;)

Rofl. The song listing, bizarrely enough, sounds vaguely Dragonforce-esque.
Obviously they've drawn heavily on Greek mythology -Scylla and Charybdis, The Furies...- and a touch of Japanese.
My only hope is that they're just trying to sound pretentious, rather than absolute shite.
Ah well, it is unavoidable, the band being Trivium and all...

trivum were amazing, asendency and ember to inferno were two brilliant albums!
but the crusades was a horrible album, full of shit songs, like they tried to copy metallica (who are decent but shouldnt be copied).
if the backing song was a new song (couldnt really tell tbh) they have mixed parts of acendency and crusdaes which makes it appealing to 2 different musical tastes.
mine personally is acendancy, but i like a bit of melody too.

They really need to pull something out the back as the Crusade was awful. They went far too soft on it. Ascendancy was absolutely brilliant but they totally sold out on the 3rd album. Think this album will be the make or break of Trivium. Looked forward to it but hope its metal and not a remake of the Black Album which was awful too. They need to get heavy again!!!!!

trivium are a great band no question even though most ppl think they've fucked up with the crusade album whitch they kinda have now from wat they have said is that they've gone back to there old stuff with stuff they've lernt from the crusade album
also they have based the new album round more wat they do at live show like dueling solos XD more Growling
from what has been said in the Kerrang Magazine this album might have the potenshal to be better then all there old stuff or come close
well we shall wait and see =]

i agree that ascendancy and ember to inferno were better than the crusade but it wasn't shit, i agree it was a error saying that screaming wrecks the voice (the reason for no screaming in crusade) and that has obviously shown.
