Pete Wentz “working hard” at fatherhood

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz says he's working hard to get up to speed before his first baby drops in the autumn.

"I'm reading all the books," gushes the four stringer. "The best one I've read so far is The Expectant Father. I'm talking to my dad a lot. I'm talking to Ashlee's [Simpson] dad a lot.

"We also hang out with other people who have kids," he continues. "You see the world in a different way. It's exciting. My friends are all really excited for me."

But are they really Wentzy?

According to the band's record company, Fall Out Boy are due to have a new album out in October to coincide with their UK arena tour. However, speaking to Kerrang! a few weeks ago, Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman confirmed that the Chicago four piece are yet even enter a rehearsal room to start penning material for the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2007's Infinity On High.

It's great that he's focusing on becoming a parent, and i respect him for that, i guess, but he chose to have a music career and i reckon he shouldn't let down fans, even though he's got to help out Ashlee. Fall Out Boy should atleast play more than 3 or 4 dates. C'mon! UK TOUR? It'll be hardly a tour with just a few dates.
