Paramore singer gets immortalised in video game

Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams will be immortalised in digital form on Guitar Hero: World Tour, the latest instalment of the hugely popular Guitar Hero series.

"I ran around like a fool in motion capture gear so the Guitar Hero team could use my movements in the game," Williams told a press conference at Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles last week. "Seeing myself in the game is the weirdest, creepiest, coolest experience ever!"

Guitar Hero: World Tour will be released in October.

Yes and it seems that the 2 biggest tits around here are you and john, so what if Hayley's flat chested the fact that she laughs it off and can carry herself with confidence is what makes her (in my opinion) attractive but in some more superficial peoples minds they can only see the skin and not what lies beneath.

you dont need a whole band to play the song, with a real guitar ur alone. Like any other game its for fun, if uve played it with 1 or more friends then ull know how much fun it is, its basically for messin around. and i do play guitar before you start sayin tht i dont and i have no idea what its like, ye its better lernin the real guitar but cmon...cheer up and have some fun

Listen to My Heart if you think they're a pop band you may be shocked. Also i agree that Led Zeppelin for instance are better but Paramore are good at what they do and if that doesn't appeal to you than fair enough but there is no need to slag them of all the fucking time they are young and will improve they deserve to be on the game with those bands because it creates variation i like all 4 of them however i think Paramore are better at what they do than Slipknot are at what they do.

Oh and Paramore are not Punk in the slightest and i do like Paramore and i've also said that Hayley deserves to be on the game and Paramore are much younger than Slipknot so will improve and their song writing will mature over the years i actually have a lot of hope that they will improve and therefore prove all the doubters wrong cos i like them.

They used Tom Morello in Guitar Hero III - which isn't all of RATM but you get my point.

Its the company who own the rights to Hendrix's music & likeness (Experience Hendrix) have done the deal with Activision and Red Octane to use him and two of his songs in the game.

Its not that big a deal in my opinion regarding 'reincarnating' him, though I fully understand your point. Obviously this is going to bring in plenty of cash for Experience Hendrix, cos a lot of younger gamers will most likely gain an appreciation for Hendrix and end up buying his music, his merchandise, etc. Whichever way you look at it, everybody gets something out of it.

I agree Paramore are a good band but you can't compare them to guitaring greats such as slash.
I would personally like to see some Fall Out Boy like Rock Band did (dead on Arrival). saying that, i'm probably going to receive tons of hate mail for saying that. Fall Out Boy are a good band no matter what you say (Paramore and Velvet Revolver too) :)

Paramore are far from the biggest rock band in the world. They've not even done the arena circuit yet. I'm not all that fussed about Hayley Williams being in the game to be all that honest, and I'm sure Misery Business will be one of those songs that I will get by without too much trouble. That said, I hope all the Paramore fans get the most out of this.

As for the genre, i have to say they are pop as rock bands go, but thats their latest album

Have a listen to 'All We Know', I can't think of any song on there that fits perfectly in the Pop genre

Also, some of you are rather pathetic. You can't look past a genre of music to see that she's an incredibly talented vocalist, and has done more in 5 years that you will ever do in your whole lifetime.

Pop music stands for POPULAR music, which Paramore will come into because of their success and mainstream coverage........but no-way are they pop in the way lil kiddie bands like Girls Aloud. Problem with everyone now-adays is branding music to certain words......Pop basically means popular. The one that annoys me most is EMO.
