Mindless Self Indulgence are the latest band to have confirmed a date at the Kerrang! Awards Week Of Rock, joining Avenged Sevenfold, Anti-Flag and Alexisonfire for a series of intimate shows.
MSI will play London's ULU on August 19 and are joined by Toronoto hardcore quintet Fucked Up and Death Set.
"Can we nominate ourselves for the 'WE'RE SO FUCKING EXCITED TO PLAY THE KERRANG! AWARDS SHOWS' award?" asks Mindless Self Indulgence frontman Jimmy Urine. "I think we'd win that shit!"
In related news, You Me At Six are joined by Rolo Tomassi and Fighting With Wire for their Barfly show on August 18. The Chase will support Skindred and Exit Ten at ULU on August 17.
Tickets for the shows cost £15 in advance - apart from Avenged Sevenfold's show, where they're £20 - and are available from www.aloud.com. All shows at the ULU are open to those 16 years old and over - and you are limited to four tickets per person. All shows at the Barfly are open to those 14 years old and over - and you are limited to two tickets per person.

Mindless Self Indulgence throw one of the best live show I've seen. Pure fun.
Among others I've seen live are Muse, Killers, Rage Against The Machine, My Chemical Romance <<(The best, without doubt, seemed most natural and interacted the best).........Don't underestimate MSI.

To the lot of you newbies who think music's all about whiney bs, you are truly sad.
MSI's a great band, that's been around for a long time and are only now getting the well-deserved exposure that I'm happy about after 10 years of being a fan.
You don't have to like them but I hardly doubt you could go to a concert of theirs and not have fun or listen to a song and hear a truly different and brilliant arrangement - one you won't find in the mainstream.
Oh, and Little Jimmy Urine's a clever man. But I guess some of you aren't clever enough to understand "sarcasm".

I couldn't give a rats ass about who's married to whom. MSI is always one step ahead and are playing the fools as they see them. Jimmy is a fuckin' genus!!! I love Slayer, Iron Maiden, System Of A Down, Linkin Park, Metallica, Enter Shikari and even Paramore but MSI's IF is the album of the year for having great catchy songs and pure inventiveness.

First off, I should mention that I'm 37 years old. My tastes run more to Led Zeppelin, early Judas Priest, The Who, Stones (you get the idea).
I brought my daughter to the MSI show in Camden. I expected to hate the whole thing from all of her talk about them but was very surprised at how energetic, dynamic and hilarious the from man was. It was like punk rock with nonstop motion and some acrobatics thrown in for weird measure. Frankly MSI is one of the most entertaining and smart bands that I've ever had the pleasure of seeing on a stage.

most likely they were pissing her off then. i've had a fair few decent convos with her and she's only ever been a bitch ONCE and that was when someone was going for about 10 mins "You haven't replied to my message on myspace, i can't believe you. gerard would reply, i know he would." and all that sorta thing. she wouldn't be a bitch just coz they were wearing an mcr t-shirt, they were probs provoking her in some way or another.

Saw MSI at Roundhouse last week. They were actually awesome.
And thats coming from someone who hasn't only known about them since the whole Gerard Way thingg, so is not just saying it to look HARDCORE, unlike some people in the queue last week :s
