The artwork's not bad, I've seen better, but who cares - Rick Rubin doesn't produce bad albums and this will be a return to form for Metallica, I'm sure.

Metallica make pussy metal for old people and retards, but i quite like that album art, simple but effective, if not very obvious. No doubt it will suck and the videos will envoke much cursing followed by channel changing yet again whenever they come on MTV, kerrang, Scuzz, wotever, every 10 fucking minutes...snore.....zzzzz

Okay, so I don't hate the older bands at all, but I do think it's about time they moved on and let the more modern bands take their place.
They should have stopped once they reached the top and left it there.
I can just imagine them going really downhill and dropping off the legendary status.

And anyway, back to the topic. That's some simple yet effective artwork. I think it's good.

Since when do bands have to move on to let younger bands take over? There's fuckin loads of young bands around getting big at the moment. Bands like Metallica/Iron Maiden and other bands in different genre's who have been around for a while, take the younger less known bands out on tour with them, thus exposing them to a brand new audience and in some cases helping them break into the mainstream.

I would say Black Sabbath or Deep Purple crreated metal well before either Iron Maiden or metallica.

Album cover is a far cry from the previous albums. Ya not gonna beat Ride the Lightening or Master of Puppets but its different I will give it that. Hope the album delivers but that remains to be seen after the pile of Crap St Anger was
