Seriously, why all the hate for McFly? They're awesome, so why don't you all just keep the hate to yourself? In ALL honesty, I have no idea why everybody hates them. They perform great music and are talented. They're not real ‘music’ in your opinion, but in mine (and many others) they are. I hate a lot of bands out there, but you don't see me naming them. McFly are NOT freaks, tbh I think Slipknot are, just look at the way they look. But I do appreciate their music, especially where liking metal is considered 'uncool'. There are some retards out there that feel so limited to what they can listen to, especially by genre. Some feel like if they love one, they cannot love the other. People should keep your comments/opinions to yourself, especially the ones that hurt other people’s feelings. McFly are not an embarrassment of a band, thank you very much. They are youngest band to have a debut album go straight to number one. NOT embarrassing, at all. McFly are the best, deal with it.

LMFAO - my hubby said exactly the same thing about the new McFly song when he overheard it. Sounds freakishly like Gummy Bears, yeah!! Thank God someone else thinks so too, maybe we're not going mad after all, LOL.

Just for the record I think Elliot Minor are way better than McFly... the Minor are certainly deserving enough of the coverage they get in Kerrang! at least (despite being at the more mass-appealsville end of the rock spectrum).

Are Lyrics Not Important Anymore?

I absolutely love the magazine but why have 3 Doors Down not been featured?! Their songs are great both instrumentally and lyrically, and have got me through a lot. A band that bothers to put as much effort into the lyrics they write as the music they play should be appreciated. Their songs have meaning, and if Kerrang! can feature bands that write lyrics such as "Shes bleached all that hair and hit the stage in underwear" (KIGH - Shameless) surely bands like 3 Doors Down deserve a bit of credit?! A poster of them wouldnt go down badly, either.

Kudos to you, m'friend.

I'm glad people are still sticking up for Elliot Minor. Their music has a structure and depth to it that people raised on blazing fast-track heavy metal are prone to not noticing. I think they're being condemned for sounding different to all the thrash and heavy stuff that gets played these days. If people listen with an open mind, they're actually not bad at all. =]

But McFly in a rock mag is taking things a tad too far.

i totally agree!!

elliot minor's album is one of the best i have for actual music. its amazing!

the songs they have, is what you can actually call music, its different, and im not just talking about songs like "the white one is evil" they have a lot of songs on there, that they probably will never release but are so good,.

i think if mcfly were ever to be in kerrang that would be terrible same with jonas brothers, both big fans of them though.

Why Is no-one writing about Blindfolds Aside? they are the best new band i've heard in ages. they have a new album out and I've not read about it anywhere.Live they are monster but I want other people to know about them as well so i'm not on my own.

Elliot Minor are fucking awesome they should get more credit they do all hell of alot more work than any of the other bands these days least they know how to produce music themselfs. I dont have anything agaisnt other bands but come on more credit for those guys :)

Johnny Truant as honest as it gets!

That interview with those truant boys was so refreshing and honest! This band has been around for ages now and they're not afraid to tell things as they are. I think they're right to say that most British metal bands to get a hard deal in the UK and I think its finally time for all their hard work to finally pay off! So more Johnny Truant in future issues of Kerrang please.

Rene, you're entitled to your own opinion of course, but it's quite obvious that Elliot Minor have just as much talent (if not more) than Slipknot. Like i said before, whether their music is to you're taste or not, you can't deny the fact that they have amazing musical ability.

I for one don't like Slipknot, but i'm not saying that they're not very good. They obviously must be good to gain a fan base like their own, just like Elliot Minor.

And before you start saying crap like "Elliot Minor's fanbase is just teenage girls who only like them for their looks," think about it. Out of the thousands and thousands of fans that Elliot Minor have gained over the past couple of years, they are bound to have picked up some teenies along the way who are just interested in their appearance. However, many of their origional fans like myself adore them for their music. I became a fan through hearing them on the radio, obviously not knowing what they look like, as i'm sure many other fans did.

The amount of stick Elliot Minor get is a little over the top if you ask me. Yeah, they're not heavy rock, and do perhaps have a pop sense to their music. However, they are writing/composing all their music on their own like most other bands featured in k! Surely this alone shows their talent?

its just that i feel bands like MSI are just getting publicity for LynZ's marriage to Gerard. dont get me wrong, im not a jealous fangirl or anything lol, and im not totally against MSI, but nobody had ever heard of this girl or her band until they were married. if MSI become famous then thats fine, i like some of their stuff, but they should do it by themselves.

This magazine is long gone, but people are still, as per fucking usual, whining about gerard fucking way and other prats like him.

If you dont like who's featured in the magazine then dont whine, its kerrang!'s choice what goes in their magazines.

I'm not denying that MCR are a decent band, because they are, but you really cant expect them to be in kerrang! every week.

And people should at least be interested in slipknot whether they like them or not, because this is the first huge feature on them for several years.

But just think before you comment, and make it somewhat related to the article, and everyone else, dont get so wound up by comments on MCR.

If you dont like what you see thats fine, but please STOP FUCKING WHINING.
