K! Week Of Rock is go!

Kerrang! are putting on five days of gigs leading up to the K! Awards. Taking place from August 16-20, they will be hosted at the London Barfly and London's ULU - with a killer bill being hooked up for both venues on every night of the week in the run-up to the Awards.

As Turisas frontman Warlord Nygard says. "It's going to be packed, and it's going to be sweaty!"

Soulfly + Gama Bomb + Trigger The Bloodshed at ULU
Kids In Glass Houses + In Case Of Fire at Barfly (Matinee Show)
Kerbdog + Slaves To Gravity + The Computers at Barfly (Night Show)

August 17
Skindred + Exit Ten + Black Light Burns at ULU
Alexisonfire + The Ghost Of A Thousand + Hexes at Barfly

August 18
Anti-Flag + Cancer Bats + Black Lungs at ULU
You Me At Six + We Are The Ocean + Support at Barfly

August 19
Act To Be Announced - ULU
Bring Me The Horizon + Sylosis + The Legacy at Barfly

August 20
Avenged Sevenfold + Year Long Disaster at ULU
Turisas + Raven's Creed + Witchsorrow at Barfly

You can buy tickets from Aloud.com - on sale from Friday, July 11 at 9am. They are priced at £15 in advance - except Avenged Sevenfold which is £20.

All shows at the ULU are open to those 16 years old and over - and ticket buyers are limited to four per person.

All shows at the Barfly are open to those 14 years old and over and you'll be limited to two tickets per person.

this is so funny, i came on here to rant about youmeatsix because ive had enough. and yet it has already happened!! i will rant anyway.

i like youmeatsix, but this is just not on. they are playing at leeds met, last time they headlined in leeds it was the small room in the cokpit, whcih is quite tiny. now its the same place funeral for a friend are playing. its just not on. it really isnt.

maybe im just annoyed because no one came out to sign my cd last time except josh afet bout 40 mins n of course evry1 was crowding round him n following him like ducklings (twas quite amusing.)

although im not complaining that ffaf are in a small place. but i think yma6 wont be so good in such a big place....

how is it they go from the small room at the cockpit to the met??? its just not right. it isnt. ee dear.

for once andymark,i agree with you.
i saw them with angels & airwaves and theyre music was really nothing special.
i also laughed when they all seemed to do the same thing at the same time on stage,and all the people who were singing along really were,or looked 13.
i also met one of them before the show to ask him to give something to AvA,and his girlfriend sounded more interested than he did.
i dont get what the hype about them is about because theyre just not worth it.

Perhaps. But that's not to say Soulfly are shit, they had 5 (coming on 6) successful albums each better than the last, and they've been at this game for longer than Gama Bomb so they've EARNED the right to headline over others, Gama Bomb are just starting out.

And besides if they're supporting Soulfy they must have some liking for them or whatever Max has done otherwise they wouldn't have been asked to be on the bill. A promoter doesn't just pick a band at random whether they want to play or not :P

To be honest, when Soulfly started I just felt that it was Max just carrying on his JDFU crap once Sepultura kicked him out, and nothing I've heard since has changed my opinion.
I'd love to have been able to go to Bloodstock. Overkill, Helloween amongst others?

And Gama Bomb are fucking mental live - saw them supporting Exodus a couple of years ago. Holy fuck.

I would like to know who Kerbdog are, and why theyre higher on the bill than Slaves To Gravity.

y is it anythin related 2 kerrang magazine always happens in london and kerrang radio in birmingham (i know thats wer the radio station is) but y is every1 else in the uk (inc northern ireland) left out? u need 2 branch out 2 the rest of us or we will get bored and move on2 another mag that treats all its fans like metal hammer :-D
