I have been a pretty huge fan of trivium since ascendancy, but i just cant get into this. Thank god this isnt the single.
it'll probably grow on me like detonatiion did.

Hmmmmmm I just hope the album is better. Its like they are got Metallica to guest sing at the begining and Maiden to do a solo for them. They need to get back to thier own style that they had in Ascendancy.
Hope there are better tracks on the album I really do. Shame as I had high hopes for this album

i am not the biggest Trivium fan in the world - i like everything they have done but am not biased towards them
all 3 albums were great.....BUT they had something missing
i saw them play at Black Crusade......BUT they were not the best band there - it sounded lacklustre
but the new song, to me, sounds like they have found what is missing.
KG is fast, heavy, screamy, harmonius and has killer riffage
this album may prove to be the best album as it has the missing link:

I'm objective enough to actually own the last two Trivium albums and at the same time realise that, especially on The Crusade, they were basically paying homage to Metallica in some respects (particularly on 'The Anthem'). They're clearly not the worst band in the world but certainly not the best. Ascendancy was a top album, The Crusade was merely OK.
If only you people trading insults at one enough telling each other to fuck off cos they love or hate Trivium had the sense to not justify their opinion by throwing a tantrum. Grow the fuck up.

i hardly think they sat down in the studio with the concerns of the those who bash their music style and their musical decisions weighing the most heavily on their minds. they went into the studio to record a killer album. i personally love the new song and i have a huge amount of respect for a band that doesn't settle for a single musical formula... ascendancy was a sick album but that's in the past... what did you want them to do keep writing music in the same vein as ascendancy because that would get utterly boring after a while... i think the crusade was a distinctly excellent album ( it grew on me like mushrooms) they're a very young talented band that obviously isn't satisfied with stagnating creatively regardless of people's reactions and they know someone will always love them... that said rock on everyone and to trivium \m/ \m/
