PENDULUM by far have progressed the most and well deserve to be seen at Download this year.

I reccommend all those with tickets go check out the majorly developing drum and bass band.

And not got your ticket to see them?
Buy their brand new album! A band NOT to miss out on.

Who will rule Download?

Personally, I think Kill Hannah. I saw them at Rock City in Nottingham supporting Aiden and they fucking ruled it. I never really heard of them before that and now I listen to them all the fucking time. They're are amazing and their music is so unique. Kill Hannah will fucking rule Download!!

I think Trigger The Bloodshed will, as thay are an up and coming band, and the drummer is only 16, there music is emmense, there fast, and talented. They gunna make all the other bands look crap compared to them. The mosh pits will be emmense, it will definatly dominate Download 2008 x

I think it'll definately be Kiss.
Motorhead AND Judas Priest are playing before them, so by the time they get onstage everyones going to be in the 'old rock band' vibe and it'll be immense!

Madina Lake! Okay so they're definately not the biggest band on the bill, but their live shows are amazing, the put so much energy into it, and they always involve the crowd. I think they'll blow everyone away!

I think Madina LAke is one to watch out for at download. they will rule becuase they may look like your avearge emoish rock band but they have an awesome stage presence and live show. they never cease to amaze me

fightstar this band is truly amazing there drummer is beyond amazing
and if i had to choose another band it would be simple plan there pop punk going to a metal fest but when you see them live they have people jumping they are so electric on stage

i no Elliot Minor get alot of shit because of there accents and shit but i think elliot Minor will rule dowload just cuz of the fact there the nicest people on earth and they are so close to there fans
they really are amazing guys
iv saw them live a few times now and i can honestly say no matter how many times i have saw them they still rock my world
there just plain awsome and they will deffo rule download!!

They are a legend, they've remained amazing for over 10 years. Their live show is immense and their lyrics and music, attitude and whole persona are completely unique compared to the sheep attitude many bands take these days.

Anyone who gets to see these boys on stage that weekend should bask in their mightiness.

Although I'd love to say H.I.M. *and believe me I'll be front center of their set if my boss lets me go* but they arent everyone's taste, epecially at festivals so metal orientated... I think that Judas Priest and KISS shall be joint crowned as many of the younger folks shall see this as a once in a lifetime oppurtunity to see the Legends of music heirarchy while the older more seasoned Metallers *there are many afterall* will see them for memories sake *patronising much, I know* but oh well, thats my tuppence worth anyway... the great thing about Download is you never know what will happen til it does!!

the only bands that will rule download this year are the true metal bands. last year was brilliant, with bands like lamb of god, machine head etc, but this year its no were near as good. I mean, Madina lake, i thought emos learned never to come back when mcr were bottled last year. still Kiss are a good band, but a bit too glammed up. but lost prohets and the offspring headlining one of the biggest METAL events of the year, doesnt anyone else see whats up?

I think the line-ups quite shit this year, but I rekon Black Tide will surprise alot of people. Being so young and full of energy they'll blow the older metalheads away. ;) besides the older bands have had theyre time to shine...

Personally, I think this years line up is shite, cause, after last year, with My Chem and fucking Maiden, how can you top that? But probably Judas Preist or Kiss, because they are like... rock legends. But the line up could have been way better.

Does it matter really, no. If you don't like em just wait till a band you do like comes on.
Personally I think all bands will be good because I wouldn't have the guts to play a festival as big as Download.

It will probably be Madina Lake, just because they're so popular just lately, and increasing in popularity. That doesn't bother me, I love them :)

I'm off to Download again this year and this has to be the weakest line-up so far - I'll be at the second and third stages more often than I'll be at the main stage - a worrying sign?

Still, plenty of top bands around. Kiss I'm sure will provide the set of the weekend, nobody bar Judas Priest will possess the stage presence that Kiss have. Motorhead will be killer as well.

Other top bands over the weekend? To name a few, Cavalera Conspiracy, Children of Bodom, The Wildhearts, Municipal Waste, Ace Frehley, Amon Amarth, Testament, Saxon - put simply, the lower stages are where its at!
